Week of December 3rd

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
I know many students in my class have ordered yearbooks. Last day the school will take orders are Monday, December 3rd. If your child waits till the end of the year they might not be able to purchase one because a limited amount are available.
**GeoSpace money needs to be sent in ASAP!
**Bowling permission slip needs to be signed and returned.
**HOLIDAY SERVICE PROJECT........WE STILL NEED DONATIONS FOR THIS LESS FORTUNATE FAMILY. CAN YOU HELP? WE HAVE ONLY RECEIVED TWO GIFTS SO FAR!****We need all donations by Weds. December 5th!

**This week we will begin our Too Good For Drugs Program.

READING
We have been working hard on the 3 kinds of questions with Night of the Twisters. This week students will continue to work on their journal responses in their twister journal.


LANGUAGE ARTS
We continue to work on adjectives. This week we will be comparing adjectives. Next, we will use the special forms of good and bad for making comparisons. Finally, we will identify and form proper adjectives.

SOCIAL STUDIES
This week we will learn that in the French and Indian War, the British, French, and Native Americans fought for control of a large part of North America. Chapter 7 Test will be Tuesday,
December 11th.

SCIENCE
Students have been working hard on their final project in school. Ms. Frizzle Project is due Monday, December 3rd. Then we will be ready to begin our next hands-on unit on weather. In this unit, students will investigate properties of air and water. They also will use a variety of
weather instruments to measure weather conditions such as air pressure, air temperature, wind speed, wind direction, and humidity.

MATH (Mrs. Napolitano's Class Only)
Checkpoint Quiz is Tuesday, December 4th on pgs. 180-181. Students need to practice division
facts to help them for this chapter. We will then be ready to begin long division.
