READING
This week we are still working in our India Unit. The students will be given time in the computer lab this week to finish their partner webs of India. Each group will get to present their webs to the class on Thursday, Oct. 11th. The students will also be introduced the their Final India Project this week. On Friday Oct.12th the class will be watching Disney's The Jungle Book, the movie contains many themes directly related to what they have learned from their India book, and it's fun for a Friday afternoon after working so hard this week.

LANGUAGE ARTS
This week we are finishing up our noun chapter. Our Noun test will be on Thursday, Oct. 11th.

SOCIAL STUDIES
We will be finishing up Chapter 5 this week. Tomorrow October 10th the Thirteen Colonies Brochures are due. I can't wait to see the final results. Hopefully your child worked hard on it over the weekend. Chapter 5 test will be Friday, October 12th. Students should be reviewing their notes each night.

SCIENCE
We will be doing an experiment this week to see if liquid can pass through skin. Ask your child what happened in this experiment.

MATH (Mrs. Napolitano's Class Only)
We began our new chapter on Using Data and Statistics. Ask your child how you make a line plot. We will also be reading, interpreting, and making double bar graphs. See if your child can use ordered pairs to locate points on a grid. Last we will read and interpret line graphs.
